In a remarkable step towards inclusive development and public welfare, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura inaugurated a total of eight vital projects at a significant event held at Baijalbari, Khowai on 12.06.2025, including Baijalbari Police Station. Among these, two projects were inaugurated physically while six were launched virtually, reflecting the State Government’s balanced approach to on-ground implementation and digital governance.

The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished dignitaries including Shri Bikash Debbarma, Hon’ble Minister of Tribal Welfare, Statistics, etc. Department | Shri Ranjit Debbarma, Hon’ble MLA of 24-Ramchandraghat | The Director General of Police | Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati, Khowai; and the District Magistrate & Collector, Khowai.

Baijalbari Police Station

The new police station aims to strengthen law enforcement and ensure better safety for the residents of Baijalbari and surrounding areas. It stands as a symbol of the government’s commitment to public security and administrative efficiency. With the inauguration of this new Baijalbari Police Station at Baijalbari there are now 7 police stations under Khowai District. The locals, as well as the local Hon’ble MLA Sri Ranjit Debbarma of 24 – Ramchandra Ghat Assembly Constituency, were very happy. MLA also declared in the happy moments that if there is further needed any fund for the development of this Police Station, he will support 5 lakhs.

 

New Building of 50-Seated Baijalbari ST Boys’ Hostel

This newly constructed hostel provides better residential facilities to tribal students, enabling a more conducive environment for learning and growth. The Hon’ble Chief Minister interacted with the students and emphasized the importance of education in empowering tribal youth. Tribal Students were very happy

Virtually Inaugurated Projects:

Block Public Health Unit (BPHU) & MOIC Room at the 1st Floor of Mungiakami PHC

 This addition strengthens the local healthcare infrastructure, improving accessibility and quality of primary health services.

 

Additional Classroom Building at Metharai Reang Bari High School

– The new building will help accommodate more students and promote quality education in tribal-dominated areas.

 

BPHU & Cubical Chamber at Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital

This facility aims to enhance health services and provide a better working environment for medical officers and staff.

 

Vertical Extension of Teliamura Block Office Building

This extension improves the administrative capabilities of the block office, allowing for better governance and public service delivery.

 

District Panchayat Resource Centre (DPRC) at Dhalabil

The new DPRC will serve as a hub for training, resource sharing, and capacity building for Panchayati Raj Institutions.

 

Newly Constructed BPHU at Tulashikhar PHC

This new unit is expected to significantly improve rural healthcare services in the Tulashikhar region.

 

As a part of the event, the Hon’ble Chief Minister also planted a tree, symbolizing the government’s commitment to environmental sustainability and green initiatives.

In his address, the Chief Minister highlighted the government’s unwavering focus on holistic development, particularly in sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, and tribal welfare. He emphasized that the vision of the State Government is rooted in inclusive growth, ensuring that the benefits of development reach every corner of Tripura, especially its tribal and rural areas.
